At Unit21, we have given agents to ability to create SARs directly from an alert (no need for a case).
Why did we add this feature?
We wanted to improve the flexibility of where customers can initiate filings from. Previously, this only used to be doable from cases but we realized that customers often had to go through an extra step (alert -> case) for no other reason than just that.
What does it look like?
The functionality to enable SAR creation from an is encapsulated in alert workflow buttons and is an option that can be added to any button:

Agents can now create filings directly from alerts without using cases as an interim.
