Create graph-based rule(s) for 314(a)

The 'Graph Based Rule' scenario is leveraged to identify potential 314(a) matches for our clients, both for users and businesses.

To setup the persons rules, follow the directions and screenshots below.

In plain English, the rule we are building sounds like: "Create an alert anytime a user shares a first name and last name with a 314(a) user."

  1. Create a 'Graph Based Rule'
  2. Look for two or more entities that share a first name and a last name.
  3. Add a 'status' filter to one of the entities that it should be equal to '314a' (find me a 314(a) account...)
  4. Add a 'status' filter to the second entity that is not equal to '314a' (linked to my account)
  5. Add a top level entity filter that first name and last name are not empty to filter out empty spaces for the first or last name

Optionally, clients can also setup additional rules for matching against persons, which include:

  • First name, last name and DOB --> this creates a stronger match
  • First name, last name and address --> this creates a stronger match
  • First name, last name and phone number --> 'phone number' is often empty in the 314a file, but creates a stronger match

To setup the business rule, follow the directions and screenshots below.

In plain English, the rule we are building sounds like: "Create an alert anytime a business shares a business name with a 314a business."

  1. Create a graph based rule
  2. Look for two or more entities that share a business name
  3. Add a 'status' filter to one of the entities that it should be equal to '314a' (find me a 314(a) business...)
  4. Add a 'status' filter to the second entity that is not equal '314a' (linked to my 314(a) business...)
  5. Add a top level entity filter that business name is not empty to filter out empty spaces
